Cheesemonger (Part-time to Full)

We’re hiring for a part-time (with the opportunity to become full-time) cheesemonger at Plum Plums Cheese. This is a unique opportunity in the food service industry to develop your skills and advance your career in the world of cheese. 

The role is critical to educating our customers on our cheeses, as well as our specialty meat and food products. It’s also about providing excellent front-of-house customer service and supporting the preparation of our delicious prepared foods. We provide competitive pay and good hours (10 – 6) along with the opportunity to grow through education and sponsorship for the American Cheese Society's Certified Cheese Professional exam (CCP) after 1 year. The ideal candidate has some experience in the food service industry, either as an experienced cheesemonger, or in grocery or restaurant. We can train you, so if you are eager to learn, this is the place for you. 

Other qualifications:

• Passionate about food (and willing to share that passion!)

• Strong communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Self-motivated and resourceful

• Must be available to work weekends (10 – 6 Saturday and 10 – 4 Sunday)

• Food Safety Certification is a plus (but not required)
